''You should get behind the wheel''. I'm not sure which proverb to choose.

"You should get behind the wheel" is not a proverb.

An idiom that might fit your requirements would be "Make your bed and lie in it".

But, according to Barb it means, ''You have created the situation, and now you have to live with the results''. So you use this proverb when a person deserves someting bad result.
I heard ''get behing your wheel'' as find your way in life, am I right?

Where did you hear it? As I said in my first post, it's not an English proverb (it doesn't even fit the pattern of a proverb. It might be considered some kind of idiom.)
