(1) You asked a difficult question. If you type "bring/take" in the
"search" box, I think that you will find some helpful threads.
(2) I wish to discuss only one use:
(a) Let's say that you call your best friend on the phone:
YOU: What's up?
FRIEND: Nothing.
YOU: I am going to visit you tonight.
FRIEND: Great! Oh, I forgot. I don't have any food.
YOU: Don't worry. I will buy some food and _____ it to your home.
Should you use "bring" or "take"?
I think that most people would say "bring." Why? Because when
you speak with your friend on the phone, you are mentally with him in his
home. So you will bring the food to his home (where you are mentally).
If you said "Don't worry. I will buy some food and take it to your home,"
that would sound "strange" -- in my opinion.
