I am writing a survey (a technical article) of antispam techniques and would like to coin a term for a type of a captcha that does not require to enter text in order to pass it.

I am to use it frequently + in a table put online.

Currently, there is no such categorization.

What woulв be understandable and correct term without reading its definition?
Non-typing-in-text captcha?
Non-type-in?

If it doesn't required typing, what DOES it require? That might be a better source of a name, looking for what you do instead of what you don't do.

They require interaction (drag&dropping, clicking, rotating, controlling, assembling mosaic puzzles) with images instead of text inputting.

Text input is the commonly accepted term to enter symbols as feedback.

This is not that simple because usually any activity can be done in a variaty of alternative ways. For example, everything done through a keyboard can also be done via a mouse or even micro. It just the matter of proper software installed

Though, the problem that when a user recognizes symbols on an image then inputting them into input textbox, he also interacts with image (by recognizing it).

That is, the text can be input but not typed (chosen with a mouse by clicking or drag&dropped from the table with symbols, told through micro).
So, it is difficult to define in terms of what a user does, it is rather what he does not.

What about non-text-input captchas?

What if you use that type of phrase, and then give it an abbreviation, like NTIC from then on?

Well, I'll give definition but I should count on technical reader that do not read through but scan the titles and parts (mostly the first two words) of paragraphs.

I just wanted to confirm how would it be more correct and clear (without searching the meaning in the rest of text):
- Non-Text-Input Captcha
or
- Non-Text-Inputting Captcha
or
- Non-Inputting-Text Captcha
?

Textless????
The word is used in some places and would seem to fit your requirements. Or how about text free?

Oh, I like textless.

Otherwise, I like non-typed, rather than non-text-input (which is the only one of your three suggestions that I think works).

A non-typed captcha

Anything has got to be better than trying to figure out "is that a little L? A one, maybe? Is that a tail, so it's a j... or maybe a lower-case i?"

IWhich context the term "textless" is used in?

There are no text-free or textless captchas. They all contain text instructions what is required to do and, optionally. might contain unrelated to task or captcha text.

I need the unambiguous term describing type of human interaction
Note that "Text Input" is standard in web (HTML) and quite specific (unambiguous) term
