May we say :"This is of an extreme importance."?If we omit the indefinite article in the sentence, is it right? Thanks for the answer.

Hello,

You should omit.

Rgds

There could be times when the article makes sense- what's the context?

Is it right to omit "the" in the sentence?

Yes, according to my two dictionaries which say that "importance" is an uncountable noun.

No, the question was about the "indefinite article" - 'an' in this case.
