[Vocabulary] cup of tea

Dear all,

Prisoner are escaping. They hit a warden. Then, one of them says:
"The dog is next. That's more you a cup of tea"

What is the meaing of "That's more you a cup of tea"?

You've misheard, or someone else has mis-transcribed. If you say 'that's more your cup of tea' you mean 'you like/prefer/are trained or specialized in/have a gift for... it'.

Afterthought: Was that script from the series Porridge? If so Mr McKay's accent (the warder - he's from Scotland) would begin to explain this mishearing. In his accent, 'your' is more like [jyʁ] (perhaps with extreme trilling on the 'r'); and it would be easy to misinterpret this as meaning /ju: ǝ/. In fact, the warder might have been a Scot even if it wasn't that series!

It's an idiom/expression meaning preference, favorite thing.

I like music but antiques is more my cup of tea.

You can wear the funny hat. That's more your cup of tea.
