stretch fabric

Once assembled onto the pushchair, the fabric must be flat. It must be stretch (extensible) too.

They mean the fabric should lie flat on the surface of the chair (meaning no wrinkles), but it should not be so tight that it cannot stretch further.

I'm not sure what you want help with. Do you not understand the sentences? Did you write them and want to know if they can be improved?

There are problems:

- Fabric is not "assembled onto a pushchair".
- Stretch is not an adjective.
- Although "extensible" is a word, it's not used very often and I don't think it fits here.

I don't really understand what the second sentence means. Does the fabric still need to have the capacity to be stretched further even after it is on the pushchair?

Do you mean something like:

The fabric must be pulled tight over the pushchair so the fabric is flat, but it must still be possible to stretch it further.

"extensible" is a French word, in this context it means "stretchable".

I found this thread interesting because it sent me to Google to look up pushchair.I had never seen this word before; we call it stroller in AmE.

Yes, stretchy works as well. However, your text is not clear. I don't really understand what you are trying to say.

You do indeed. I flummoxed an American friend once before with that word. What do you call a pram? ;-)

I seem to remember that pram is short for perambulator. We call it a baby carriage.
