Which are correct:

1-He criticized more than praised her.
2-He criticized more than praise her.

3-He criticized more than praising her.


4-More than praising her, he criticized her.
5-More than praise her, he criticized her.

Meaning: What he said was more criticism than praise.

"What he said about her was more criticism than praise." This would be better.

#1) How about, "He criticized her rather than praised her."?


#2) As for this sentence, "What he said about her was more criticism than praise.", wouldn't it read better rewritten like that, "What he said about her was more of a criticism than (a :?: ) praise."?

#1) How about, "He criticized her rather than praised her."? This is OK, but it doesn't mean exactly the same as "criticised more than praised".


#2) As for this sentence, "What he said about her was more criticism than praise.", wouldn't it read better rewritten like that, "What he said about her was more of a criticism than (a :?: ) praise."? No.
