It is well known that English language is one of the most common languages in the world. That is why it gives a lot of opportunities for the ones who speak it. For that reason English should be an intrinsic part of the educational programmes in all Bulgarian secondary schools.
Firstly, English linguistic skills give plenty of job and educational opportunities for the young people. They can participate in different educational programmes and after that to find proper jobs in any foreign country in which English is an official language, for instance. In this way, young people have more opportunities for future development thanks to their English skills.
Secondly, having knowledge on English language facilitates communication between people. In this way, humans from different countries with different cultures are able to meet completely new people and to exchange ideas and experience with them. What is more, this kind of communication connects people emotionally and helps them to create new contacts and even friendships.
Lastly, English helps people to deal with technology. In the modern century that humans live in, technology is an important aspect of their life and usually all technological devices like computers, smartphones, laptops and tablets use English language like basic for their interface. For that reason, when a person has even basic English knowledge he or she is more likely to deal with the technology in their daily life.
In conclusion, English language should be made compulsory because it provides a lot of opportunities for the ones who can use it. This language gives choices for future development, makes communicating between people easier and helps people to use the technological advantages of the modern world.
