Dear teachers,

Would you share with me your opinion concening the following sentences?

The doctor lectured me for going out too soon. Yes, if you mean that he told you off or disapproved of the fact that you had gone out (left?) earlier than he recommended.

Professor Myers lectures [STRIKE]to[/STRIKE] the students on literature.

We were lectured for being late. Yes, but see spelling of "being". Also, "He/she/the teacher lectured us for being late" would be a little better.

We have two lectures on Wednesdays. Yes, or "We have two lectures on a Wednesday".

We had a very interesting lecture yesterday. Yes, but see spelling of "yesterday".

Thank you for your efforts.

Regards,

V.
