use of snuff

The candles wont snuff out if i turn on the AC.(is it correct)
Snuff off the candles i want to eat the cake (is it correct)
when to use snuff off and snuff out ..is word used snuff correct in above sentences.

I never use snuff.

Blow out the candles.

In church, they do come along with a cap on a stick and place that over the candle until is it snuffed out. I have never heard the word "snuff" used at home, however.

(You make a wish before you blow out your birthday candles.)
