Where is "recently" supposed to be in this sentence? -"He recently died"/ "He died recently" Thank you W Click to expand... He died recently. If you imagine that it is the answer to the question "When did he die?" and substitute various other options, you may see why. He died yesterday. He died last week. He died in 2004. He died recently. He died a long time ago. You wouldn't say "He yesterday died" or "He last week died".
