Hello!

If I say that yesterday I organised a "money collection based on challenges", do you understand what I'm talking about?

Thank you
Will

No, sorry.

No, sorry.

Thank you. I'll explain what it was about:

Yesterday I asked some people to take some challenges up.

And I asked (some?) other people to give money if the challenges were a success.

What you do call that? (In French we say "Quête au défi).

Thank you
Will

What kind of challenges?

Is this to raise money for charity?

Are you talking about "bar bets"? Like "Hey, I bet you $5 I can put 6 hard boiled eggs in my mouth."

What kind of challenges are you talking about?

Yes, indeed.
"Sponsored tasks/challenges" is what you mean, I think. People take part in a challenge, run a half-marathon, for example, and other people sponsor them with money.

Wouldn't a sponsor give money whether they were successful or not? There is a buzzword "charity challenge"... but I hate buzzwords. :-(
