I'm learning about how English uses infinitives after certain verbs. Therefore, which is correct? "I plan on seeing the movie." OR "I plan to see the movie." If they are both grammatically correct, what is the difference in meaning, if any, or are they equally usable?

They are both correct, and there is no real difference in meaning.
