[Essay] Onwards

Hello all,

I want to say in my thesis "From here onwards, we will refer to x as y"... but the phrase "From here onwards" seems a bit casual for me and not for a report.

Can you suggest an alternative or tell me if this is fine?

I was thinking of saying just "Onwards"... would that be better?
