I know that we cannot use singular countable nouns without a/the etc. However, the following sentence is wrong in accrodance with a Grammar book.

I am a Chinese.(wrong). I think Chinese is a countable nouns.

I am Chinese, (Correct)

Can any teacher help, Please?

If a person asks for my nationality.
What is your nationationality.
How should I reply?

Thanks.
