What is the meaning of 24/7

Hi, what does 24/7 mean? It means that somebody has to work 24 hours a day without sleeping? And it stays the same for 7 days? Or 24hours are divided within 7days?

It means all of the time. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A place, like a store or restaurant, that is open 24/7 usually has more than one employee to cover all of the hours in a week.
