I just read another thread about 'preposition + transport' and found we can say
'I came home in a taxi' or 'I came home in my taxi'.
I actually have a class about travel and transport tomorrow.
Will it be safe to teach my students to say 'I came home in a taxi' or 'I came home in my taxi' as well as 'I came home by taxi'?
Hoe about 'I came home on a plane' instead of 'I came home by airplane' and 'I flew home'?
