discourse analysis

Hello ,
I am an English student in Master 1 , and discourse analysis is a new module for us .
I have read some definitions and listened carefully to the teacher's explanation , but
I still haven't understood it , not even a clue about .It is said that discourse analysis is the study of the relationship between the language and the context in which it is used
but...ambiguous
so would anyone explain it for me and highlight whats the difference between discourse analysis and pragmatics
