I'm looking for a word which would describe a person who is insincere. I mean in a situation such as: you talk to a person and he/she is nice to you, but when he/she turns around, he/she starts to spread mean things about you.

I'm looking for a word which would describe a person who is insincere. I mean in a situation such as: you talk to a person and he/she is nice to you, but when he/she turns around, he/she starts to spread mean things about you.

In AmE we would refer to this type of person as being 'two-faced'. 'Backstabber' is also a good description for a person who pretends to be a friend, but then betrays you.
