Hello,

I've heard the phrase "keep the window open" before, but is it also correct to say "keep the window opened"? When is it right to use one or the other? For instance, I know you often say "keep the window closed", but you never say "keep the window close".

Thank you!

'Keep/Leave the window open' is natural.

Open and closed are opposites when describing windows, doors, eyes, books, shops etc.

Opened and closed are opposites when used as verbs – 'They opened the bank early because of a computer glitch.'
