Hello there,

Quick question : Is the "to complying with" correct?

The sentence I have is "the user is forced to spend time to complying with the different types..."

Should the above be "to comply with" ?

Thanks

So you are saying that I should use "spend time complying with" or "spend time to comply with" and that they are both correct?

Based on the fragment that you've supplied, I believe the version I've given you is most likely to be correct and natural. If you can supply the text from before and after the example you've given, an alternative answer might be possible but I can't think of one as it stands.
