What would be the difference between "the lawyer's office" and "the law office"?

"After opening his own law office, he dedicated his practice partly to human rights cases."

Would it be equivalent to the lawyer's office here?

In that sentence "lawyer's office" would be incorrect.

So what's the difference?

A "law office" is a practice, a firm, a business engaged in the handling of legal matters.

A "lawyer's office" would be the physical place where a lawyer works.
