I'm doing a series of lessons on the Present Perfect and this is the first one. There's a little film for learners, with an accompanying worksheet. I hope the worksheet part might also be of use for some teachers.

The present perfect manages to irritate a far wider learner base. ;-)

I don't understand the time line. It seems to be the same for all tenses. Is the past really at a right angle to the present?
And the noise! :-|
 
The time line was intended to show that link between the past and the present which is key for all Perfect tenses. I don't think I'd use such a diagram for past tenses for example but thanks for your input.

This third (and final) use - a finished action which has an effect now - is probably the one that causes learners most difficulties.
There is video lesson to watch as well as a free worksheet for teachers and students to download.
