The opposite of "front legs" of animas is "hind legs". Does "hind" mean "hidden" or just "back part"? And can't "back legs" replace "front legs"?

Your second question doesn't make sense. Perhaps you meant, "Can't "back legs" replace "hind legs"?
I think that in most cases "back legs" would be common usage, but I suspect that people who are around horses a lot would normally say "hind legs".
