All of a sudden, I was wondering if "as" and "for" can be interchangeable in some context? Have you ever seen or used them for the same meaning? I am sorry about not giving you context and examples, but I cannot think of anything now. Could you help me out please. Thank you so much as usual in advance.

I wouldn't want Henry as/for my teacher.

We definitely aren't going to vote for Donald Duck as/for Prime Minister.

He'd be no more useless than the last few have been. :-(

Strangely enough, as I was writing that I started to think "Hmm, actually, if he was a candidate I might well vote for him ..."

Is Polish political scene made fun of here?

Our current Prime Minister's name is Donald and one of our former Prime Ministers' name (now in opposition) is Kaczyński, which relates to Duck and the person is actually given a nickname Duck (or Kaczor in Polish).
Too bad they are so unlikely to form a coalition, which for sure would then be called Donald-Duck.;-)

Wow! I had no idea. That would be a marvellous coalition! I sincerely hope that one day they settle their differences and work together.
