Hi,
I heard "Pavement" should be used singular. I want to know why and if the meaning would change with plural form. Can't I use the plural form at all?

Thanks in Advance,

'Pavement' in BrE is the raised surface pedestrians walk on - 'sidewalk' in AmE. It is a countable noun; we can and do use the plural form.

When they get up later, I expect our North American friends will confirm that over there the uncountable 'pavement' is the road surface on which vehicles run.

It may be composed of tarmac, asphalt or concrete. I'm pretty sure they'd call them 'different pavement surfaces' rather than 'different pavements'.
