Is the following wording acceptable?

1. After dinner, taking stimulating beverage such as tea, coffee, cola...etc. is prohibited.
2. Soaking in hot water, drinking a cup of hot milk or eating some snack may help our sleep, but not too full to prevent digestion problem causing interference to our sleep.
3. Avoiding using bed for other usage except sleeping. Besides sleeping, do not use your bed for reading, watch television or eating.

You've already asked about most of sentence 2 in another post, and I've replied. Duplicating your questions will lead to confusion.

1. After dinner, taking stimulating beverages such as tea, coffee, cola...etc. is prohibited.
2. Soaking in hot water, drinking a cup of hot milk or eating some snack may help our sleep, but not too [STRIKE]full[/STRIKE] much that it interferes with digestion [STRIKE]problem[/STRIKE] and [STRIKE]causing interference [/STRIKE][STRIKE]to[/STRIKE] with our sleep.
3. Avoiding using bed for other usage except sleeping. Besides sleeping, do not use your bed for reading, watch television or eating.

You frightened me for a moment with #3, that is, until I read the second sentence.

3. Avoiding using bed for other usage except sleeping. [STRIKE]Besides sleeping,[/STRIKE] Do not use your bed for reading, watching television or eating.
Why say the same thing twice in a row?
(I assume this is all telegraphic writing such as you'd find on a label).

Another teacher helped me reword the sentences as following.

1. After dinner, stimulating beverages such as tea, coffee or cola are prohibited/ not recommended.
2.
Soaking in a hot bath, drinking a cup of hot milk or eating a snack mayhelp us to sleep, but we should not be too full or digestion problems willinterfere with our sleep.
3. Don't use your bed for anything besides sleeping--especially not forreading, watching television, or eating.
(Your bed should be used only for sleeping, not for reading, watchingtelevision, or eating.)

Please remember what you were told about copying and pasting - it messes up the formatting and joins words together incorrectly. Click on the "Edit Post" button on the bottom right-hand corner of post #5 and put spaces in the right places, then click "Save".

It didn't worry me. Advanced age dulls the mind - amongst other things.
