Have done and having done

Hi guys,

We say "I haven't been able to do this ever since I have started going there" but can we say " After starting doing this I haven't been able to do this"

There is one more question we say "Having done that he was ubable to do that", "having done" usualy gets used for the past but can we say " Having done that I am unable to do that" or " Having done that I won't be abke to do that".

I don't. I say "...since I started (past simple) going there".

I wouldn't.

So what would be the correct formation for "After starting doing" and what about the " Having done" formation, you haven't replied for this one.

He said he wouldn't use it, and I agree. If you want to use after starting, then the past tense is more natural.If you want to use the present perfect, use since I started.

With having done, you can use the present and the future, because a past action can have an effect now or in the future.

It would be much more natural to say "After starting to run ..." You can use "After starting running ..." if running is a sport you've taken up.
"After starting to run, I was unable to walk properly."
"After starting to run, I am now unable to walk properly."
"After starting to run, I'm sure I won't be able to walk properly."
