DIVVS and DIVVA Pronunciation native speakers?

Hello

How would a native speaker (us-english) pronounce the following two terms/phantasy name for a brand spontaneous?

Divvs (2 times a v not a w)
Divva

my deliberations and am not a native speaker at all;

divvs: like the term thiefs or like di ai viis ?

divva: like the term diva (divaa) or di ai vii ei?

what would you suppose?

is it a hard term to spontaneously pronounce for english native speaker?

The 'I' is meant to be a short I of 'give', not the long /i/ of 'diva'. It's very easy to pronounce in English.

ok so 2x v is not confusing or making a problem with the pronunciation?

/dɪvz/ this is what I've suggested with "thiefs" just that in this case its way more softer because of d. and is it right that the z in the end sounds like a s in thiefs, fs=vs
or is it like di-wie-sie? I'm a bit confused.

and so divva ist almost like the normal diva, just with a shorter I like in give?

No, you have two different answers for how an English person would pronounce DIVVA. Mine is based on the fact that a vowel before a double consonant is rarely long. Then you have 'skivvy', which has a short 'I', 'savvy', 'muvva', 'bovva' etc. - all with short vowels.

I'm not sure why you're introducing "thiefs". Both of us have said /vz/.

No. I would rhyme DIVVA with 'giver', 'river', etc, and Tdol would rhyme it with 'diva'. You're obviously going to need more opinions.
Both of us would rhyme DIVVS with 'gives'.

Without a doubt, the double-V would cause me to use the i sound in "give" or "hit."

It would not sound like "diva"

For me "divvs" would sound the same as "divs". The double "v" makes no difference. I would pronounce "divva" to rhyme with "giver".
