[Grammar] "Recommend + Possessive Adjective + Verb ing"

Hi there,
I wonder if the following pattern is grammatical or not.

"Recommend + Possessive Adjective + Verb+ing"

e.g. I recommend your watching the new film.

If it is correct, how much and when (register) it is used in English.

Is there a difference between the above example and the below one ?

e.g. I recommend you watch the new film.

e.g. I recommend your watching the new film. This is grammatical and is a frequently used pattern.

If it is correct, how much and when (register) it is used in English.

Is there a difference between the above example and the below one ?

e.g. I recommend you watch the new film. Also grammatical, this is called the subjunctive. I would add "that" after "recommend."
