a. at work b. in job c. in work d. at job "a" is the only one that is possible, but I don't find it a very satisfactory sentence.

a. must have rung b. should have rung c. had to ring d. ought to ring "b" is correct.

1-Everyone in the company has to be working.
a. at work b. in job c. in work d. at job

2- I ……….. you before now, but I’ve been too busy.
a. must have rung b. should have rung c. had to ring d. ought to ring Think about what "would have," "could have," and "should have" mean.

3- My boss never gives me clear instructions. But you might have the same problem with yours, too. [Sorry. I left out have.]
a. must have b. ought to have c. have to have d. can have This one depends on the context.

4- Dinner will be ready soon but we have time for a drink before then
a. currently b lately c. suddenly d. presently You're right, but I wouldn't say it that way. It sounds too British!

5- 100 competitors had ……. the race.
a. taken part b. entered for c. put themselves for d. put their names for These are all wrong.

This looks like a homework assignment.

I guess 'd' is correct.

For 3, I have no problem with "you must have the same problem with yours". It suggests that the speaker assumes that everyone has the same problems with their boss.

For 4, "dinner will be ready presently" is grammatically correct but very old-fashioned.

"b" is the only possible answer, but the "for" makes it rather unnatural..

Which sentence has the unnatural "for"?

5- 100 competitors had ……. the race.
a. taken part in b. entered c. put themselves in d. put their names in [As I mentioned all are wrong. The first two, as corrected, are the more common expressions.]

Hope that helps.
