Can the idiom "That just about wraps it up for today" be replaced with:

-That's just about it for today

-That wraps it up for today

Yes you could use both of these and it would make sense!
 
In writing they both need a full stop, which can't be heard in speech.
 
I'd say the "just about" is a hedge against leaving something out. Also, in a TV news context, they might elect to have a short news update later if something emerges.
