Both may be correct in certain contexts.
 
Thank you! @ Rover :), yeah I got corrections you made to my post. ohk, so the sentences are like. My mum asked me to take some food or it should be my mum asked me to eat some food.

Also, please take a look at this sentence too:-

Now, I resume my conversation from the point where I left yesterday ?

Your mom could ask you to do either. But they don't mean the same thing.

If your mom wants to to eat something, she wants you to "eat some food." Most likely, just "eat something" since we already know you'll eat food.

If you are going away for the day and your mom wants you to pack something to eat in your bag so you can have lunch later, she wants you go "take" some food.
