Any phrasal verb for 'make amends' please?

AmE sometimes uses 'do right by' in this context, although it is used for other situations as well.

Doesn't 'make amends' itself qualify? It's not as if 'an amend' was something the making of which one could learn (in Amend making 101?).

In a related idiom, when you've made amends you can check by saying 'Are we OK?'

It's interesting that, etymologically, 'atone' has a hint of phrasal-ness in it.
