[Grammar] correct or as correct

1. He considers this sentence correct.
2. He considers this sentence as correct.

Please tell which one is correct. If the use of "as" is wrong, please tell how it could be used correctly in this sentence.
 
In my opinion, "as" is incorrect. Why do you feel the need to use it?

You could also say 'He considers this sentence to be correct'.
 
If you want to use "as", you need to follow it with something. "He considers this sentence as correct as the previous one."
 
I see (and hear) "2. He considers this sentence as correct." as [being] correct.
"Do you regard him as trustworthy?"; "Do you see her as attractive?"
 
I would choose 3. 4 is not natural for me and the "as" is not needed.
 
I think 'to be' is more natural than 'as' in 4.
 
You need to look at the verb. We generally don't "consider something as ...". However, with other verbs, "as" can be appropriate.

I consider him a great teacher.
I see him as a great teacher.
I think of him as a great teacher.
