Hi,

Can you please point out my mistakes in the following paragraph?

"The status of a teacher in XXX (religion's name) is very high. Our XXX (person's name) says that a teacher is a spiritual father and he has the same rights over his students as a father has over his children. XXX (person's name) says that whoever has taught him even a single word is my teacher."

Are all the teachers you're talking about male?
 
In my language it's always used ''spiritual father''. I've never heard of ''spiritual mother'' but it doesn't mean they are not teachers.
 
I understand that but you used "he/his" in your post. If some of these teachers are female (even if they are rather oddly referred to as "spiritual father"), then you need to say "he/she" and "his/her" in your post, rather than only "he" and "his" as you did.
