Good afternoon, everyone. I have a question regarding the use of present participles after a verb.

I was slightly confused by the phrase "I see you looking at me" because it made me wonder if it was possible to change the present participle to simple present; e.g., "I see you look at me."

Some other examples I often hear are "I hear you call my name" and "I hear you calling my name."

Given the proper context, yes you could use "I see you look at me".

What is the context in which you wish to use it?

Were you seriously confused about "I see you looking at me"? It seems to be perfectly clear.

(Usage depends on context.)

I see you look at me could be used in some contexts- it would not work if the person is looking at you now, but could work if they habitually stare at you.
