I am going to make up an example. Let me name a store Great Price.

(1) my original example

I am planning to go to Great Price to buy a particular computer accessory later today. When I am in the store, I spend some time looking for it and find out that it is no longer available.

(2) my restatement

At Great Price, I spend some time looking for a particular accessory which I find out is no longer available.

Is my restatement grammatically correct? Thanks a lot.

Your first shows that the trip to Great Price will happen in the future. It doesn't make sense to continue in the present tense.

Note that I have changed your thread title. The title you used did not include some/all of the words you are actually querying.

@brianbrian: Your text is quite mixed up. You need to think of the time (past, present, future) of the actions in your sentences. Based on that, you can select appropriate tenses to write the sentences.

I suggest you rewrite those sentences and post back here to show us that you understand that. :)
