"When I was not ill. I had a fixed time to do all the things. I went to the gym every day at 5 AM in those days and if somehow I got late (on any day by chance), I didn't go to the gym (on that day) because I wouldn't be able to lift then".

Please check. Should I be using simple past or past perfect in my last sentences?

"When I was not ill, I had a fixed time to do [STRIKE]all the[/STRIKE] things. In those days, I went to the gym every day at 5 AM [STRIKE]in those days[/STRIKE] and if, [STRIKE]somehow[/STRIKE] for some reason, I got up late [STRIKE](on any day by chance)[/STRIKE], I didn't go to the gym [STRIKE](on that day)[/STRIKE] because I wouldn't be able to lift then". (I don't know what you mean by the underlined part.)

Please check. Should I be using simple past or past perfect in my last sentences?

See above.

You might mean: "I wouldn't have time to lift weights."

If that's what you're trying to say, the tense you used is fine.

I wanted to say that what happens with me is, if somehow I get late for the gym I feel that I won't be able to lift weight properly. I mean I just don't feel like exercising or working out on that day but ususally I never get late.

Charlie, you are saying that I have to use past simple here, right?

Tufguy, say:

If I WAS late....

For example:

If I was late for the gym I felt that I wouldn't be able to lift weights properly.

Also say:

I mean that I just didn't feel like exercising or working out on that day, but I wasn't late very often.

Hello,

Can I say: "If I got up late, I didn't go to the gym because I was not able to lift weights."

Regards.

Hello,

Can I say: "If I got up late, I didn't go to the gym because I was not able to lift weights."

Yes, of course you can that, but I think you mean:

If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I didn't have time to lift weights.

Yes, of course you can that, but I think you mean:

If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I didn't have time to lift weights.

What's the difference between these sentences:

1) If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I didn't have time to lift weights.

2) If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I wouldn't have time to lift weights.

How about Before I fell ill?

What's the difference between these sentences:

1) If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I didn't have time to lift weights.

2) If I got up late I didn't go to the gym because I wouldn't have time to lift weights.

No difference.

Thank you

There is no need to submit a separate post to thank somebody, as you have been told on more than one occasion. You can simply click on 'Like' (as you have done) or 'Thank'.

Actually I didn't want to reply but I clicked the reply button mistakenly but I couldn't cancel it so I wrote down thanks.

Actually I didn't INTEND to reply, but I clicked the reply button mistakenly. THEN I couldn't cancel it so I TYPED thanks.

I have inserted the needed punctuation. Also, I made a couple of changes in the text. Finally, I could have put "reply" and "thanks" in quotes, but I didn't want to work that hard.

Tufguy, I understand your problem. Sometimes the "Like" button doesn't show up for me.
