Hi guys-

I would like to ask if you pronounce the "th" in thousand as voiced or unvoiced. I see many places saying it's unvoiced, but when I hear people on TV pronounce it, I hear voiced th. Are there places (North America) that pronounces it as a voiced th?

Many thanks!

Note that the word pronunciation doesn't have an o after the first n.

If you want to check the pronunciation of a word, head to Forvo - choose English from the list of languages, then type the word you're looking for in the Search box. You will then see the word followed by the number of recordings there are on the site. Click on the word, then click on the loudspeaker icon next to each pronunciation. You will be able to see where the speaker is from.

Here's the hit for "thousand".
