Are these two sentences correct? If so, do they convey a different meaning?

He likes getting up early.
He likes to get up early.

Their meaning is very slightly different. The first emphasizes the act of getting out of bed; the second, enjoying the habitual practice of rising early.

You might say, for example, He likes to get up early even though he hates getting out of bed.
