Kevin walked to the theater with hamburgers and french fries

    Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Kevin walked to the theater with hamburgers and french fries. He saw Rupert, near to the theater, lying on the ground with his dog. He sat near to Kevin and shared the food."

    Thanks.

    Dear teechar:

Once again, thanks for your help.

Rupert was lay down on the street playing with his dog.

    There's a word missing above.

I still don't get it. Do you mean lying on the footpath?
Even then, it's a strange sentence-- people don't normally lie on the street/footpath. Can you elaborate a little on what Rupert was doing?

    Is Rupert homeless?
