Dear all,

I just want you to be aware that there will be a period of planned maintenance overnight on Saturday 11th May 2019 (UK Time). Our hosting providers are relocating our servers to a new secure, state-of-the-art facility which will enable us to provide you with a higher level of service and faster network access times.

This work will involve a period when the site will become unreachable, however we expect that the site will become available again in the early hours of Sunday.

Having said this, our hosts are allowing for a longer maintenance window, starting at 6pm on Friday 10th May, and ending at midday on Sunday 12th May GMT, to ensure the work is completed, however, we don’t anticipate it will take this long.

We look forward to being able to offer you a better experience while you continue to enjoy the content and community on this site.

In the meantime, we hope you all have a great weekend!

OK. Thanks for the heads up.

It's still up and running at 12:51 AM GMT Saturday, May 11th (Friday evening my time, over here in the North American Eastern Time Zone).

Still working here in Japan. Let's hope they were giving themselves an over-generous window. ;-)

Apparently, the forum is running now at 5:33 PM Eastern time. Hm.

So, did this move take place? If so, it must have gone very smoothly!

We appear to have survived! I noticed something a little different about the layout of the main page when I logged in on Sunday lunchtime but otherwise nothing. (Well, I had a strange message while I was posting a response but I'll post that in the Support Area.)

They may warn about potential difficulties because if things do go wrong, we forgive them, and if they don't, we are amazed by their expertise and slickness,

Yes, I can confirm the move happened as planned and was completed by noon on Sunday. It seems it was rather a smooth transition, thankfully! :)

Good job, Red5!

Many years ago, I sat up all night with Red5 when he changed us manually to a new server. I wasn't there because I had skills to offer, but to offer some moral support when he was taking the risks and keep him in fluids. It's great that we have moved on and today have experts to move servers for us, but I still remember the fear and worry of that night.
