Have I made any mistakes?

After they divorced, Linda was giving Andy difficult time. She took him to court for all kinds of things, accusing him of not paying the child maintenance on time, insulting her on the street, lying about his true income and his financial situation, and owing her money. Unfortunately for her, the court dismissed all these accusations and claims. Andy tried to reason with her and save her and him from more costs and embarrassment, but Linda was as stubborn as an ox, and every time promised a new lawsuit. That meant that bad blood between them wouldn't go away for many years.

What does "every time promised a new lawsuit" mean?
:-?

It means that every time he tried to talk to her and persuade her not to go to court, Linda promised a new lawsuit.

The bad blood

BTW I am not sure that insulting someone is actionable.

Try:

Every time he turned around he found himself being hit with a new lawsuit.

It means that every time he tried to talk to her and persuade her not to go to court, Linda threatened to sue him.

He tried to be conciliatory, but she was very hard to deal with.
