Do they mean the same thing? I assume they do. What do you think?

Well, they do mean the same thing to you, apparently, yes.

The difference between them is that a. is correct and b. is incorrect.

I thought of the structure "an energy-saving machine" and "a peace-loving people", so I did this one: "a PARKING-CARS job". :-?

Maybe this one better? "a CAR-PARKING job"
