Hello,
I want to say that a smell has spread in a whole neighborhood. Firstly, can I use "drift"? And secondly, what is an alternative?
The smell of their cooking drifted through the entire neighborhood, making the neighbors' mouths water.
What can I use instead of drift in the above sentence?
