All the bananas I bought from/at/in the market have gone bad.

Are all three prepositions correct in the above sentence? Thanks.

Both "from" and "at" are possible and natural. I don't like "in" but I won't say it's incorrect.

I find both "at" and "in" natural. "From" feels wrong to me as you buy from an individual stallholder.

What is the difference between "from an individual stallholder" and "from a market"? I don't see any difference in meaning between the two examples.

I agree with emsr2d2: Both "from" and "at" are possible and natural. I don't like "in" but I won't say it's incorrect.

They each carry a different meaning.

from says that the market is the source.
at says that the market is the place of buying.
in says that the market is a place of buying imagined as an enclosed space.

I think "from" (source) fits the sentence better as the things that was bought "have gone bad".
