Do we amend our mistakes? Do we say "I want to undone all the things I did wrong in the past and amend my mistakes"?

Well, you can't undo your mistakes. But you can make amends. Do you know what that means?

It depends on what you mean by "mistakes", which can be as small as a typo error or as big as one causing a relationship to be broken.

It makes sense, but it's not natural. We don't amend mistakes. We make amends for mistakes.

Amends, a plural noun, means reparations, fixes.

Amend, a verb, means alter, usually to make an improvement.

Tufguy, you never cease to amaze me. Here is your original post with no changes (suggestions/corrections).

Do we amend our mistakes? Do we say "I want to undone all the things I did wrong in the past and amend my mistakes"?

We would all like to undo the things we did wrong and make them right. But we can't change the past. The best we can hope for is to make amends. (Ask for forgiveness, promise to do better, and then keep that promise.)

You are teaching me patience.

Are you asking [STRIKE]for[/STRIKE] about "undo"?

The word "that" (which I have marked in bold above) refers to the last full sentence that was written before the word. With that in mind, do you think that Tarheel was asking if you know what "undo" means or what "make amends" means?

He was asking about "Amend". Okay, my bad. Sorry for that.
