Hello everybody!

I have a question to ask you.

Does "As tempting as it may seem" mean "though it may seem tempting"?

The whole sentence reads as follows:

As tempting as it may seem, only a small part of the mucus goes down into the stomach where it gets dissolved.

It is taken from a procedure for treating the postnasal drip. How to Get Rid of Mucus: 15 steps - wikiHow

Thank you.

When asking a question like this, it's very important to include enough of the context for readers to be able to make sense of the situation. When I read the single sentence you provided, I could not understand how the phrase "as tempting as it may seem" related to what followed. It was only when I looked up the link you provided, that it became clear that the phrase actually related to the previous sentence, ie "Do not swallow the mucus. As tempting as it may seem, only a small part of the mucus goes down into the stomach where it gets dissolved. The majority of it gets stuck in your throat". Having solved that, I can tell you that "though it may seem tempting" does mean the same.
