I have got this mail. Is the underlined sentence correct? Can't we use"attaching the invitation"?

I have got this mail. Is the underlined sentence correct? Can't we use"attaching the invitation"?

It's OK now, "herewith" is one word. I would probably write something like "Please find attached an invitation to..."
